Anotace
This book contains the complete text and many illustrations of exhibits from the exhibition „Murder and Mass Murder in Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp 1936–1945“. The exhibition and the renovated central site of commemoration at „Station Z“ were both opened on the sixtieth anniversary of the liberation, on 17 April 2005. The instances of murder and mass murder documented in the exhibition are presented on the basis that taken together they illustrate the full range of crimes committed against different victims. They show not only those crimes committed against concentration camp prisoners, but also murders of people sent to Sachsenhausen for execution on the orders of the national offices of the Reich Security Main Office in the Prinz Albrecht Strasse in Berlin, as well as the Berlin office of the Gestapo at Alexanderplatz.
