Pinhole scintigraphy discloses anatomic and pathologic as well as chemical alterations in greater detail, permitting analytical interpretation and raising the sensitivity as well. Infections, non-specific bone inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathies, rheumatic disorders, metabolic and endocrine bone diseases, trauma and both primary tumours and metastasis can be effectively and specifically examined.
