It is much more comprehensive than the previous edition published 16 years ago, and includes three times as many illustrations as well as the "TNM classification of tumors of the liver". A number of new lesions are described, viz. biliary papillomatosis, the fibrolamellar variant of hepatocellular carcinoma and epithelioid haemangioendothelioma. Several subtypes of hepatoblastoma are mentioned, and a serous type of bile duct cystadenoma is described. The section on adenomatous hyperplasia, including macroregenerative nodules, has been amplified.
