Hisashi Kobayashi

Hisashi Kobayashi (Japanese: 小林久志 Kobayashi Hisashi; born on June 13, 1938) is the Sherman Fairchild University Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Emeritusat Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey. His fields of expertise include applied probability; queueing theory; system modeling and performance analysis; digital communication and networks; and network architecture. Currently he is an Executive Advisor for the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan on their new generation network architecture (NWGN) project.He serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of Todai, Inc. (FOTI),New York, and Armstrong Memorial Research Foundation, Inc.. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Toyota Technological Institute (TTI), Japanand that of German Lab (G-Lab) of Germany.
